Q&A with Jeewant

Tell us where you are from and what you are studying at Virginia Tech.

I'm from New Delhi, India and joined Virginia Tech in Fall 2025. I'm pursuing an M.S. in Computer Engineering, with interests in machine learning, software systems, cybersecurity, and analytics. 

What you enjoy most about being a Virginia Tech student?

What I enjoy most is the beautiful campus and all the amazing facilities we get as a Hokie! I also really appreciate how accessible people are, whether it is faculty, staff, or fellow students. Being part of the ECE community has also given me the chance to learn beyond the classroom through teaching, research, student engagement, and professional development opportunities.

What advice would you give current and upcoming ECE graduate students?

First, be consistent throughout your academic journey in putting the efforts. Secondly, your network is your net worth so build it massively. These two would be more than enough to achieve most of what you want. Please ask your questions without any hesitation and I'm here to answer them!
