Jung-Min (Jerry) Park, was recently appointed to be a steering committee co-chair of the IEEE International Symposium on Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks (DySPAN).

DySPAN is one of the premier conferences sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, and it serves as a flagship conference for discussing and exploring state-of-the-art spectrum access technologies and policies.

Park, along with co-chair Giulia McHenry from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, will lead the interdisciplinary steering committee to manage the activities of the conference.

Park is the associate director for affiliate relations of Wireless @ Virginia Tech, a research group within the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering dedicated to developing wireless technology. He is also the site director of the Broadband Wireless Access and Applications Center (BWAC), a National Science Foundation-funded Industry-University Cooperative Research Center, which seeks to advance collaboration between researchers in academia and industry partners, and promote the transfer of technology from universities to industry.
