This Giving Day, support our electrical and computer engineering students with a gift toward funding their Major Design Experience research and industry projects.
What is MDE?
The Major Design Experience is the senior capstone course for all electrical and computer engineering students at Virginia Tech. With two sections - spring to fall and fall to spring - MDE provides an industry-like experience that includes
- technical, business, and professional skill development;
- a realistic first engineering team experience;
- a safe environment to learn, grow, thrive, and if necessary, fail!
Our students have explored a wide variety of industry and research-based projects, from antennas to space. Explore our past projects on the MDE site.
What will my gift support?
Giving Day is a great time to give to MDE and support our students. Your gift will help fund
- technical building supplies for students' projects;
- travel to visit with sponsors;
- research poster printing;
- and more!
