ECE 4205 - Electronic Circuit Design (3C)

Course Description

Stability and response of feedback amplifier, wideband amplifier, operational amplifier characteristics, waveform generators and wave shaping, nonlinear circuit applications, signal generators, and photolithography. Design of analog electronic circuits, circuit simulation, response characterization, and printed circuit construction.

Why take this course?

Electronic circuit design using discrete and integrated circuits is one of the most practical courses for electronic design engineers. This course fully utilizes knowledge learned in all the fundamental electric and electronic circuits for advanced circuit modeling, design, and simulation. Throughout this course, students will gain practical circuit design skills and apply them to real-world electronic product development.

Learning Objectives

  • Develop skills of analyzing and applying analog circuits for signal conditioning, signal generators, and controls.
  • Develop understanding of practical op amp circuit models, limitations, noises, time- and frequency-domain behaviors, and its role in feedback systems.
  • Develop ability of designing practical circuits through conceptual, analytical, and simulating stages.
