Q&A with Zeyuan
Tell us where you are from and what you are studying at Virginia Tech.
I'm an international student from China, currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering with a focus on Analog Circuit and AI Chip Design.
Tell us about your research at Virginia Tech.
My research involves designing ADCs and DACs for analog systems, as well as implementing Echo State Networks (ESNs) in analog hardware for efficient AI processing.
What you enjoy most about being a Virginia Tech student?
I truly appreciate the resources and opportunities available here to engage in hands-on projects and research. At Virginia Tech, there are countless resources designed to support graduate student success. You can get involved in programs and projects through courses, labs, and student organizations, and all of them will help you grow both academically and professionally.
What advice would you give current and upcoming ECE graduate students?
Don’t hesitate to speak up or ask questions. Your peers, professors, and university staff are incredibly supportive and always willing to help. By engaging with people from diverse cultures, educational backgrounds, and perspectives, you'll broaden your understanding and enhance your problem-solving skills. And most importantly—study hard and play hard!
