Creed F. Jones III
As a collegiate professor and the assistant graduate director for MS programs, Creed creates steadfast commitment to learner success and his transformative approach to teaching have greatly enriched the College of Engineering, and has set a high standard for engineering education across Virginia Tech and beyond.

Xiaoting Jia
Associate professor Xiaoting Jia is an engineer with expertise in the brain and other biomedical applications. She is pioneering the exciting work of body-machine interfaces. With her stellar record of productivity and robust grant support, she is a rising star.

Professor Ali Mehrizi-Sani is nationally and internationally recognized as a leader in power engineering with significant contributions to the theory and operation of inverter-based renewable resources driving their adoption in power systems and microgrids.

Walid Saad
In the past two years, Walid has undertaken an extraordinary number of service activities making major contributions to both his profession and the university. With a staggering array of research projects; work spearheading several conferences; and serving as the NextG Wireless lead in Northern Virginia, he remains one of the most productive and impactful researchers in his field.
Oustanding New Assistant Professor
Zin Lin
Zin's research spans inverse design, nanophotonics, quantum optics and photonics, computational imaging, computer vision and quantum sensing. As an inspiring advisor and mentor, he has demonstrated exceptional success.
