February 18, 2011 — Yue (Joseph) Wang and Jianhua (Jason) Xuan are a contributing authors of the recently published Volume XVIII of the Encyclopaedia of Sports Medicine series, which covers Genetic and Molecular Aspects of Sports Performance. The volume presents state-of-the-art information for sports scientists, sports medicine doctors, medical doctors involved in primary care, biologists, and graduate students in sports science and health-related professions.

Wang and Xuan contributed to the chapter on Bioinformatics and Public Access Resources.

The encyclopedia is published by the Medical Commission of the International Olympic Committee in collaboration with the International Federation of Sports Medicine.

The volume is published by Wiley-Blackwell. The International Olympic Committee will use the royalties to subsidize distribution of the Encyclopedia of Sports Medicine in developing nations.
