November 1, 2012 — Rosalyn Moran has joined the ECE faculty as an assistant professor. She will be working with the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute (VTCRI). Moran comes to Virginia Tech from the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at University College London, where she was a senior research associate.

Her research interests are theoretical neurobiology and imaging neuroscience. She has published more than 20 papers in international journals and presented more than 30 invited talks. Moran also holds a patent for an Automated Voice Analysis System for Pathology Detection.

She has served as a reviewer for nine international journals, and has reviewed grants for the National Science Foundation, the Medical Research Council (UK), and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research.

Moran earned her Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and her Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering from University College Dublin in 2004 and 2007, respectively.
