ECE 6104 - Advanced Topics in Electromagnetics (3C)

Course Description

Advanced topics of current interest in Electromagnetic Engineering. Topics are selected from current technical literature. Certain topics may be repeated.

Why take this course?

Developments in the field of electromagnetic engineering are fairly rapid, and our graduate students should be exposed to these developments as they mature. The Advanced Topics courses will be taught by permanent faculty members, as well as by visiting faculty depending upon their field of expertise.

Learning Objectives

  • Apply the methods and techniques learned in this course to formulate, analyze, and solve advanced problems involving electromagnetic radiation, guiding waves, propagation, or scattering;
  • Apply the principles learned in this course to engineer new hardware designs, develop new software analyses programs, or devise new measurement campaigns involving electromagnetic theory and practice.
